The Amerrykoon
Cattery came
into being in 1995.
After losing our cat
to old age, I
started thinking
about a big, brown
mackerel Maine Coon
I had seen at a cat
show, and wanting to
know more about the
breed. I knew how
big and beautiful
they were, so the
next question
was....what were
they like? At this
point my sister and
niece got involved
and we started our
research in earnest.
Before long we all
came to the same
conclusion. They
were wonderful. We
couldn't live
without one....or
more. There were
three wonderful
grandchildren who
seconded the motion
that we needed some
cats, and Maine
Coons it was. Soon
we got our first
one. In a few months
we knew we wanted
more. We live in the
country in a log
home, high on a
hill, overlooking a
creek, with many oak
trees. It is
wonderful place to
raise cats, kids, or
whatever. Our home
is decorated very
primitively with the
central theme being
Americana. Thus we
became Amerrykoon
Maine Coon Cats, The
Log Cabin Cattery.
All of our
kittens are raised
with lots of love
and attention. Now
there are six
grandchildren who
love to play with
the kitties. The six
year old carries the
kittens around all
the time, and they
all love him. The
four year old does
also, and the almost
two year old loves
pulling on ears and
tails, (very gently
of course) We have a
standard
sales contract
with a full health
guarantee, and give
Fort Dodge vaccines
that include
Rhinotracheitis,
Calici,
Panleukopenia
(distemper). We can
ship almost anywhere
worldwide, and we
will periodically
send pictures of
your kitten by email
while they are
getting to be 12 or
16 weeks old. At 12
weeks old, after
having their second
set of vaccinations,
they can be shipped
within the USA. At
16 weeks they are
old enough to go
overseas, which
requires that they
have a rabies shot
no less than 30 days
prior to travel.
Full payment for
your kitten and it's
travel expenses will
be due prior to
shipping.
I have sold
many cats "long
distance", via
photos in the mail,
by internet, and by
telephone. My cats
have, quite
literally, gone
everywhere, such as
Germany, The
Netherlands, Poland,
Denmark, Japan and
Brazil, as well as
many states in the
good ole USA.
